He was a newsmaker in 2011, with his move from MCAP to Pacific Mortgage Group. Now it’s 2012 and Ron Swift is still making headlines for, among other things, his decision to join the opening keynote panel for this year’s The Mortgage Summit.

The broker channel veteran will join network leaders from across Canada for the lively discussion meant to guide mortgage professionals through an increasingly complex landscape.

Paul Therien, director, of Business Development at Centum Financial, is among other network heads preparing to lead that panel, which opens the two-day conference starting May 31 in Toronto.

With responsibilities for Radius Financial, in addition to helping reshape an expanded Mortgage Architects brand, Swift brings decades of lender experience to the discussion.

Recognized as a Canadian Mortgage Hall of Fame inductee, He is a respected member of the Canadian mortgage industry with a proven executive management track record and almost 20 years of experience in a variety of leadership roles.

Prior to joining Pacific Mortgage Group Inc., Swift served as president of MCAP’s residential mortgage origination, broker channel sales and servicing business for over 10 years.

Formerly a mortgage broker and native of Vancouver, he also brings a wealth of knowledge of the Canadian retail mortgage market to the operations at Pacific Mortgage Group.

The Mortgage Summit 2012 will provide brokers unique opportunity to hear directly from top industry executives as well as industry-leading and innovative fellow brokers.
