Do
you have what it takes to be a CMP editorial board member?
Over the past few years, the Canadian mortgage brokering
industry has taken tremendous strides in improving its level
of professionalism and service in the marketplace. As an independent
voice in the Canadian mortgage marketplace, CMP’s goal
is to help this trend hold by continually offering pertinent,
informative articles to our readers.
While our editorial team is doing its best to achieve this
single handedly, let’s face it – we’re not
mortgage brokers/agents. We need the help of people on the
front lines – people who are constantly in contact with
fresh business ideas, interesting mortgage brokering stories
and innovative marketing strategies. We need the help of originators
who are not only running successful businesses of their own,
but who are well-connected with like-minded individuals who
are doing the same thing. They should not only be passionate
about their work, but also hold a passion about improving
the industry as a whole.
If this sounds like you, we’d like to invite you to
apply to be on our Editorial Board. The job itself doesn’t
take a lot of time – once a month, we will send you
an e-mail with stories that are slated for the upcoming issue.
Your role is to help us find interview sources for the various
articles and offer any comments/suggestions of your own. Annual
board meetings, four blog entries per year and occasional
story idea submissions would also be required. After that,
the level of involvement is up to you.
Interested candidates should send a brief e-mail –
in 300 words or less – to cindy.freiman@kmimedia.ca,
explaining why you would be an asset to CMP’s Editorial
Board. Please highlight your experience in the industry, potential
topics you think we should cover, as well as the depth of
your ‘mortgage broker Rolodex’.
